C.R. Massey, III, M.D.

A native of Fredericksburg, Dr. Massey graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1974. After graduation, he did an internship at the University of Kentucky and a residency in Otolaryngology at University of Florida. He also did a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1979.
He was on the Board of Directors of Mary Washington Hospital from 1983-1987. He has been a board member of the Rappahannock Area Hospice, President of the Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania Chapter of the American Cancer Society, chaired the Department of Surgery at Mary Washington Hospital from 1995 to 1997, and was Chief of Surgery at Mary Washington Hospital from 1997 to 2004. He is a past president of the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology. Dr. Massey is also a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, the American Medical Association and the Fredericksburg Area Medical Society. Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Massey enjoys working with patients to find solutions to their medical needs. David A. Franz, M.D

Dr. David Franz is a lifelong Virginian who did his undergraduate, medical, and residency training at the University of Virginia. He finished undergraduate work in 1988 as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. Upon completing medical school in 1992, he chose to perform the 5 year Otolaryngology residency training program in Charlottesville. He then moved into practice in Fredericksburg in 1997.

Nariman Dash, M.D.

Dr. Nariman Dash graduated from the University of California, Berkeley where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry. John Lieser, M.D.

Timothy P. O’Malley, M.D.

Dr. Timothy P. O’Malley graduated from Georgetown University’s College of Arts & Sciences, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Theology. He subsequently obtained a Doctorate in Medicine from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Naval Hospital Oakland, California. Francis X. Buckman, M.D.

Stephen Bakos, M.D., Ph.D.

A Colorado native, Dr. Stephen Bakos earned his BA degree in biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After graduation, he was accepted into the competitive joint MD-PhD degree program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. His research, under the guidance of Dr. Richard Costanzo, focused on improving patients’ recovery from traumatic anosmia (loss of smell). Following completion of the dual-degree program, he completed his training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia Health System. During residency, he participated in several research projects and published multiple research articles. He was awarded the top resident research award at the 40th annual Fitz-Hugh Symposium. He remains active in multiple organizations, including the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Otolaryngology. An advocate for his patients, he participates in health care policy at the federal and state levels. Dr. Bakos lives in Spotsylvania County with his wife and two sons.
