Dr. David Franz is a lifelong Virginian who did his undergraduate, medical, and residency training at the University of Virginia. He finished undergraduate work in 1988 as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society. Upon completing medical school in 1992, he chose to perform the 5 year Otolaryngology residency training program in Charlottesville. He then moved into practice in Fredericksburg in 1997.
Dr. Franz is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. He is a former Chairman of Otolaryngology at Mary Washington Hospital and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fredericksburg Ambulatory Surgery Center.
