A\nnative of Fredericksburg, Dr. Massey graduated from the University\nof Virginia School of Medicine<\/a>\nin 1974. After graduation, he did an internship at the University\nof Kentucky<\/a> and a residency in\nOtolaryngology at University of Florida<\/a>.\nHe also did a fellowship with the American Academy of Facial\nPlastic and Reconstructive Surgery<\/a>\nin 1979.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was\non the Board of Directors of Mary Washington Hospital<\/a>\nfrom 1983-1987. He has been a board member of the Rappahannock Area Hospice,\nPresident of the Fredericksburg\/Spotsylvania Chapter of the American Cancer\nSociety, chaired the Department of Surgery at Mary Washington Hospital from\n1995 to 1997, and was Chief of Surgery at Mary Washington Hospital from 1997 to\n2004. He is a past president of the Virginia Society of Otolaryngology. Dr.\nMassey is also a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, the American\nMedical Association and the Fredericksburg Area Medical Society. Certified by\nthe American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. Massey enjoys working with patients\nto find solutions to their medical needs.
